Mawarra is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘a most pleasant place’.
Mawarra is located at Sunny Corner Road, Bellingen, on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, and it is, indeed (other than when it is in flood!), ‘a most pleasant place’.
